About Samantha

Hello, dear reader! I'm glad you are here to join me in exploring history and visiting some remarkable historic places.

If you have enjoyed any of my historical novels, you will learn more about the history behind them here. And sometimes I take off on historical tangents unrelated to my books - like my obsession with Bobby Kennedy! So, have a look around and join in the discussions. All comments are welcome!

In case you missed it, my latest novel But One Life explores the life of quintessential patriot Nathan Hale. I have enjoyed writing about this tragic, inspirational young man, and I hope you are moved by his story.

My first nonfiction project, Women of the American Revolution, has also recently been published by Pen & Sword History. I'm excited to begin sharing my journey into the American Revolution with you!

What am I working on next? I'll be spending more time in the Early Republic, writing a biography of James Alexander Hamilton! This son of Alexander & Eliza lived for 90 years, spanning the era between the Revolution and the Civil War. Exploring his life is going to be amazing, and I can't wait to share it with you!

You can also connect with me on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Goodreads or visit my Amazon author page.

Happy reading!
~ Samantha

  1. I don't know why it has taken me so long to follow your blog - I think I thought I had already done so until today when I was messing around with my own templates and looking for ideas from others that I realized oops! Had not yet done so.

  2. New Year's best wishes, Samantha Wilcoxson. Living on the wrong side of the pond too, a huge medieval French history enthusiast. Would you consider reviewing my latest release, Sense of Touch, based on life of Anne of Brittany? Historical Novel Society calls it "a striking story." http://lrd.to/Sense_of_Touch. Let me know if you would like one of your own books reviewed, and I will jump on it. THANK YOU!

  6. I read your book about Elizabeth of York. I love the way you tried to capture her personality. It was beautifully written and has given me an even greater appreciation for this very special woman. Thank you for writing it.
